The prices were already too high to allow much profiteering on the Frozen Four. Any potential market collapsed as soon as North Dakota lost. The Gophers losing just threw dirt on the grave.

The ducats were made by the speculators who bought up the tickets to Maryland Heights last week and managed to 10x their money in a few days.

That was your last national championship. Your school *just* won the league championship this year and last won the regular season title weeks before the pandemic wiped out the playoffs.

If there was a Cubs-esque Eamus Catti for my school, it would be AC 33 43 33.

It's like, yeah being one-and-done blows, but OTOH, can I really complain about 6 NCAA trips in the last 10 years, after 0 in the 30+ years prior to 2015? And especially in the current landscape?
 
You can actually win championships for a conference? Like, that’s a thing they do? When did that start?

Also, what is this “national” championship? I thought the season just stopped in early March?

NMU has 11 players in the portal. I'm not sure how a program can survive something like that. They can't even blame the self-inflicted gunshot wound of the Ivies' academic theater on grad students.

Stonehill has 12 and I suspect that's like the huge change numbers we saw for ASU when they started up. A lot of D-3 talent being pushed out by legitimate D-1 recruits/transfers.

The 19 combined from the Alaska programs sounds pretty bad, too. We should save those programs; they are much more interesting to me than some Pac-10 or SEC a-holes joining someday.

For UAA, I would not be surprised if the players entered the portal with the blessing of the coach. To be honest, I don’t blame them.

I debated adding a F4 listing, but opted for Regular Season, League Championship, National Championship.

Going with your layout, NMU would be 433333.

There's a real "Double You Tee Eff," moment alumni away from Marquette are having. Tech Hockey Guide posted a satire article yesterday for April Fools Day which said most the remaining players also joined the transfer portal and alumni chat groups were like "Why is this satire so believable?"

Something is wrong in Marquette but it's all speculative right now.
 
Snuggerud returning for his junior year. Or so he says, anyway.

I don’t really expect him to pull a Cooley, though. The Blues are at least acting supportive. The Coyotes never stopped publicly pursuing Logan.

On one hand, I do feel bad for you fans.

On the other, as a fan of a school who was left for dead by the CCHA schools: Shame (continues eating popcorn).
