During the 2000 GOP Primary, Alan Keyes was asked whether he'd support Al Gore or John McCain. IIRC, he said something along the lines of, "That's like asking me to choose between Satan and Beelzebub." That sentiment always seemed to me like really horrible hyperbole . . . right up until I turned on the Lakers-Heat game this evening.

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

what a PATHETIC performance by both teams in the second half. so the heat are 2-9 vs tittle contenders. 0-3 vs Celtics 0-3 vs Bulls. teams that the heat will have to beat.. not gunna happen.

Rodney Stuckey is the latest to embarrass Chris Bosh:

Philly shouldn't even bother to show up for game 3 and 4. Maybe the Flyers would do better against the cHeat. Or at least slash LeBron's knees.

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

Go out and put money on the Portland Trailblazers for game 2 vs. Dallas.

Danny Crawford has been chosen to do the game. The Mavs have lost 16 of 17 playoff games where Crawford has done games, while they are 48-41 when others officiate. They're 4-14 vs. the spread.

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

4-14 in 17 games? That's quite a feat ;)

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

The Mavs are 2-16 with Danny Crawford as a ref in playoffs game since Cuban bought the Mavs. The NBA is real legit

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

Jeff Green for 3 is a great thing to hear. He's the reason the trade is still unpopular. It's not that Perk was the next coming of Bill Russell. As valuable as he was, he had real limitations.

But without Jeff Green doing anything, you have to wonder if the Cs would have been better off with Perk and a warm body off the scrap heap to come off the bench at small/power forward. Without Green contributing, it's basically Perk for Krstic.

eta

Even with that 3, he has 6 points and 5 fouls at the end of the 3rd...

i had a scarlet moment when gorman said, "the celtics could win this by 25"

Re: NBA 2010-11: KobeJesus vs. the LeBronathon

Mike Gorman, with three minutes left in the third and the Celtics up 10: "The Celtics might win this game by 25 points!"

The reality, three minutes into the fourth quarter: Celtics by 2.:rolleyes:

EDIT: Mookie beat me to the punch.
