3 goals on 10 shots. Where's Keeney?
I was hoping keeney would start in goal tonight. I doubt he will be playing at all in anchorage. Oh well Let's go Nooks. Finish this off in overtime!!

Does anyone have recommendations for seating at the Sully? Squarebanks, you're supposed to be the expert. Is the balcony or lower level better? Thanks.
Most of the balcony is blocked off...

Oh the balcony will be unwrapped per a request of the back of the bus village riders that are coming to town.
You mean other than a hissy fit when the Seawolves demolish the dump bears!I wasn't sure how to interpret your response on the other thread -- you make the Sully sound like a dangerous place! I promise that I am polite and will not throw anything.

Seating preference is an individual choice.
I prefer as high as I can get in the lower bowl or as low as possible in the balcony.
Low in the balcony is my favorite.
Don't let AH scare you. He's just having fun with you yokels.
You should feel free to cheer your losing effort without fear of retribution.

On behalf of all UAH fans, I just want to say that I'm rooting for at least one UAF win this weekend.

I’m certain the Nooks will be fired up for the rematch, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll play a smart game. They're sometimes hard to figure out. The Nooks will probably skate circles around the Seaweed, but we tend to get to cute with the puck on teams we can out-skate. We tend not to battle enough near the crease and often over-pass and miss good scoring opportunities.
Hopefully they realize that they can’t afford to let the Seaweed stay close. As we have seen Mantha can still a game from us (or two) if we don’t finish our chances. The Nooks need to bring the same attitude and focus they brought against MSU…every shift. Dial back the mucho stuff and stay out of the box. Don’t give the refs any reason to make calls for punishing checks (legal or not) after the play or away from the play. Keep your head in the game and the Cup should go to a shootout. Anybody’s Cup at that point, but it gives us a shot.
And make no mistake the team, the coaching staff, and the Fairbanks hockey community wants this. If we lose the Cup it won’t be because it doesn’t mean that much like the Seaweed always claim (I’d say that too if I were them). These will be the final games for our seniors, through no fault of their own. They’ve proved over their careers that they could get it done on the ice. Go out in style.
Go Nooks!
I posted this on the blog, but every bit of pressure is on UAA this weekend. They're playing for a trophy they haven't held since 2009, and they're playing for their season on top of that.
I don't see it as a lot of pressure on UAA, I see it from the perspective that they have more to play for. UA_ is already out of the playoffs ... UAA should be VERY motivated this weekend. They have something on the line other than the Gov Cup.
Which proves my point. We know we're done after Saturday...but if UAA is done after Saturday, I'd think we'd all agree your season was a massive disappointment after last year's progress. Pressure is on UAA...win or go home.
Even if the Wolves win the Gov Cup, this season was still a massive disappointment after last years progress.![]()
It still kinda shocks me how many losses UAA has had this season. Mantha seemed unstoppable in Fairbanks. But even if UAF wins both games, I can see UAA winning the shootout unless Mantha becomes absolutely unhinged some how.
