Nanook Nation 2014-2015

Re: Nanook Nation 2014-2015

<del>If</del> When the Nooks take two this weekend neither Mantha nor the Seaweed will be in a good frame of mind for the shootout. With our skill guys I’d like our chances.

Plus it’s always enjoyable watching Seaweed fans turn against each other and bicker among themselves. It’s kind of like watching an episode of the Walking Dead. :)

Re: Nanook Nation 2014-2015

Here are my takes on how to win this weekend...

1. Get up early and make UAA play from behind

2. Marcus Basara was a Seawolf slayer last season, averaging with 7 points in 7 games against UAA. Get him on the score sheet.

3. Special teams. UAA takes a lot of penalties...take advantage. Also, Hubbs leads the nation in shorties so keep him in check on the PP.

4. UAA has no answer for Parayko. Remind them of this fact.

5. Ride the wave. These are the last games for our seniors, and probably Parayko too. Send them out winners.

Couple of other facts...seven of the last eleven games in this series have been one goal games, and UAA has won four of those seven. All the more reason to jump them early.

Tyler Morley needs three points this weekend to reach 40 for the season. I highlighted Basara above as his overall season stats aren't as strong as T. Morley, but T. Morley is no slouch against UAA either with 7 points in 7 games. He missed the playoffs last year plus game 4 of the Gov Cup, and it's not a coincidence we were 1-3 in those games.

Edit: One not so fun fact...we haven't swept a two game series against UAA in Anchorage in at least 18 years. I say "at least" because the USCHO records only go back that far. Anyone know if that feat was ever accomplished in the old days? That is really a remarkable stat considering how bad UAA has been in a few of those seasons.

A house divided against itself cannot stand. Also, you can't spell Anchorage without rage.

Re: Nanook Nation 2014-2015

That was such a well done video. And I never get tired of the story line...

Go Nooks!

Not that unusual to have two (for you guys with the Super Computers, save the electricity. That's 2. The number between 1 and 3) losers rooting for the same thing.
Aint gonna happen!

Talk about losers, your selfish team may have cost the conference a third team in the tourney by being ranked so low when you beat Bowling Green. Way to go. Way. To. Go.

Yeah. We should have just forfeited the games and let the Falcons stay home.

As usual you've screwed up and tried to think something through on your own and par for the course for a UA_ graduate screwed it up royally.
Perhaps you should fire up that Super Computer and run the numbers through it.
It would have shown you that the dump bears in league season did far more harm to your wish of a third team than anything done by the mighty Seawolves.
But good try. Better luck next time.

Good luck boys.
Thank you Seniors.
Cheering from afar
Bust your butts. Every shift…every period.

Go Nooks!

We are sorry about, but I know UA_ did their part and didn't beat them.
