My team got screwed thread - 2015 edition

Re: My team got screwed thread - 2015 edition

Oh and thats how we're judging who gets in and who doesn't? Seems like an unfair process IMO.
Potsdam definitely played better teams than Plymouth State and Nichols so even if they lost every game they should get in over both. At least that would be the case in the World According to Fish version.

Re: My team got screwed thread - 2015 edition

Plymouth is the only team in the tournament that didn't win a game over a fellow tournament participant this season. Potsdam also has that over on them with their win at Oswego.

Ummm, no... You have to win a lot of those games, too. ;)

We also beat Hobart.

Re: My team got screwed thread - 2015 edition

The bracket isn't an atrocity, but I can't fathom why PSU got a bye over Trinity or Hobart.

I'd have had them at Oswego in the first round, sited Nichols at Hobart, and would definitely have awarded Trinity the bye.

UWRF was displaced by AQs, yadda yadda... But would have been interesting to see how they fared had they got in, considering how badly the West has mauled us out here lately.

The 500 mile rule vis a vis Adrian. You must avoid a flight if at all possible in the 1st two rounds. Thus either Hobart or Oswego had to go West. That dictated the rest of the bracket.

I won't go any further than that wouldn't happen because they avoid conference foes in the first round!

Agreed, confusing how it all works out sometimes. Or as many have mentioned it's just a make up call for Platty getting left at home last year (which was bogus). We are in so can't complain too much. Excited for the dance![/QUOTE Do you really want to start that one up again? Sensitive subject. But this year well, it's just how the cookie crumbles and we are happy for once.:)

I think that equitable seeding takes precedent over any other consideration. (...And the W has routinely been pitted against itself in the recent past when multiple teams received bids.) Still isn't the same set of rules applying across the board, apparently.

Even though Plattsburgh is the SUNYAC regular season champ, SUNYAC playoff champ, and beat Oswego in two of the three meetings between them? Interesting take, but not surprising...

Uh, 1-1-1 is the math this season.....let's hope we get a 4th game and leave it at that.... :)
