With respect to #2 - I overhead someone leaving the NHC last weekend say "Well, that wasn't worth $15". I think that sums it up nicely.
SCSU is charging $25 a ticket for regular season games against Mankato. The place was maybe half full on Senior Night (don't really think that is the draw anyways). The tiered pricing has gotten out of hand, I remember when it was $5 a ticket and $15 for MN/UND.
On another note, I'm in Nashville and I'd like to watch the game on B2, is it worth the $8 or is the quality so crappy that I should watch the Wild/Gopher game and listen to this one?
I remember when gas was $.69 per gallon and a candy bar was a quarter. What's your point?![]()

My point is games were, oh I don't know... SOLD OUT when ticket prices were reasonable. Even when the team was bad. And now you can't draw on a $12 ticket either... hmm. And the student excuse is not valid - they might be 20% of the total crowd. That still leaves over 4000 seats to be sold.
Great to see the Husckeys wake up and send the series to 3 games. They waited too long to get going in my opinion, but worth the wait. Always good to see smiling faces filing out of the NHC. [Oddly enough, I found myself apologizing to some of the Kato fans for St. Cloud winning the game.]
First period both teams played tight as if trying not to make a mistake.
Watched the game from the suite directly above the net and felt like the goalie judge. Mike Lee played a good game. He had no real chance to stop either of the goals by the Land Cows in the second period.
First goal came from a 2 or 3 man on 1 rush. Didn't see what caused the turnover in the SCSU end, but simply a good play by MSU-M.
Second goal was a deflection off a hard slap shot. Lee would have had to have been bionic to stop that shot.
As hard as it is to say, Lee should start tonight but on a short leash. If he looks tired or gives up two quick goals, put in Dunn (aka do anything to win baby). Speaking of tired, Cook may be gassed late if he plays tonight so it will be interesting to see who Jutting starts in net.
Marvin seemed to be a team solidifying force on the ice. Overall, the Husckeys had the better of play even though MSU-M had more SOGs. Crowd somewhat quiet until final period. Hopefully the students are back tonight, tanned, juiced and loose.
And hail to my Hornets. This morning's coffee cake was delicious!![]()
from twitter: @KVSCHockey reports Phil Cook will be in net for Mankato tonight.
i don't think being tired will effect him either. still waiting to hear who is in net for the Huskies yet.

And the University has done what with the additional ticket revenue? Oh yes, they've renovated... oh wait nothing. Except made some fancy video about how neat the place will look if you can fly like a bird through it. I guess that left Morris about $10 bucks left to buy lunch at Atwood.
Can someone tell me is the. game on charter tonight?
