Tetris on Apple TV was friggin excellent! What a crazy story. (I knew some of it) If you loved the game or just loved Gameboy it's a must watch!

I also watched it today. I didn't really like watching movies and TV in general. But when I came across the article and started to include it from time to time, I realized that it is actually very interesting. I really liked watching new movies and series. It's probably more interesting than in the cinema haha

“I, uh, also, would like to express my fondness for that particular beer.”

It’s a new game titled “Name That Bot Response!”

Lol. I made a gif on frinkiac that says "I would also like to express my fondness for that particular event" when my wife inevitably texts someone happy birthday before I realize it's even their birthday.

gotten a lot of mileage out of that

That seems a little early for it. Imma gonna watch it anyway.

Most films now only have a 45 day theatrical window. Technically, Disney could have put Avatar 2 on Disney+ weeks ago but have decided to keep it in theaters and now available for rent/purchase through other outlets because it can support that model. Most movies (M3gan, Smile, Cocaine Bear, even Black Panther 2) don't have that kind of commercial might and end up streaming. Reminds me of going to Blockbuster and seeing a movie in the "new release" section three years after it was in theaters.

Why does Harrison Ford feel like he needs to destroy every character people loved from his career?

$$$$$$$$$

Also he's rolling off his reputation now. His current work is sub par for sure. Not looking forward to him replacing William Hurt in the MCU =(

Because actors and directors are morons and the real artists are the writers.

So you have never read a script then? Writers are no more artists than actors or directors. In fact the only ones I would say have any talent are editors...

Yeah, editors are usually the reason that many films are as successful as they are. Star Wars is a prime example.

Editors can only shave; they can't create. They're essential, but so's my toilet.

It's the writers. The rest are plumbers. Use the service entrance.

Seriously, read a script some time. Half of them are unintelligible. If writers were such geniuses they wouldn't be replaced (or added to or on top of) in almost every film that comes out that has a budget. Hell some of the best writers ever never got a credit because they had to cover for the actual writers. Carrie Fischer did this for years.

Credited writers are usually good for outlines and not much else.

Barbers can only shave, too. But the difference between a good one and a bad one is really apparent.

I've seen good editors turn mediocre writing into a best seller, and bad editors ruin careers.
