Gurt - And all I'm saying is that (as a Gopher hockey season ticket holder) I'd rather see UND over UW. Hated it when the Gophers were placed in the same scheduling pod as UW instead of UND.

My pride isn't hurt. Just pointing out that some Gopher fans have felt the same way about UW as you feel about SCSU, Mankato, and BSU.

A number of us agree with him on his stance that the University of Minnesota has accomplished more than UW in hockey, but as usual are completely confused as to why this discussion is taking place (again) and don't agree with him that he's not a troll.

Sure it is. I'm just being a little more honest than you are about why I'd rather not face UW. Case in point, your statement that "not even SCSU fans want to watch their games".

Sounds a lot like a guy who thinks his program is too good to play SCSU. But keep back-peddling if you want.

As I've said before, I am proud of our history and you guys should be proud of yours. Both are among the 5-8 elite programs of all time.

I wouldn't trade being a Badger fan or our history for yours and you wouldn't for ours.

This has NOTHING to do with what Dubbie has been going on and on about.

Sounds a lot like a guy who thinks his program is too good to play SCSU. But keep back-peddling if you want.

Actually, sounds a lot more like someone who's bored with the status quo and if given a choice, would rather see something new.

The WCHA (as we know it) is ending. I'd prefer that we take that as an opportunity to schedule some new opponents that we haven't seen before and preferably an opponent like Miami or Notre Dame over the teams from the old WCHA.

Not back-pedaling at all. I still feel this way.

How convenient (and telling) that you only focus on me not wanting us to play SCSU, BSU and Mankato when I also included CC, Tech, UNO and UAA. Again, this is just about a perceived slight towards your precious state schools.

I was so sure this thread was going to die last Friday that I stopped checking it and didn't bother over the weekend. Looks like I couldn't be more wrong about that. So is this thread #4 that this same argument has taken over? At least this one was set aside specifically for this kind of thing. So carry on.

One good thing that I enjoyed was seeing all the signature quote material thrown out there. Specifically from very strong anti-Gopher fans thowing out praise for the program. Can't believe it came to that so I may have to grab them as proof it happened.

I would just like to add with everything changing in one year we are entering into a brand new era. It will be obviously be different and all the old national championships, All Americans etc will be seen differently.

Need I repeat again, at least I'm not insulting others and resorting to personal attacks. I understand some of my posts aren't popular, and that it is fashionable to hate on me, but my opinions are genuine and my posts are respectful. Personally, I have a bigger problem with people who can't make a point without insulting others than those with opinions I disagree with.
