does 3 years at the high school varsity level in Minnesota count? Or 21 years of playing experience count? Or the fact I punched a girl and made her fly 20 feet down the ice count? Woog is a good hockey mind and one of the more fair announcers I have listened to in ALL of sports.

I know the guy you're talking about. He has a severe head injury, something like 7 metal plates and 60, yes 60 screws were used to try and stabilize his cranium. This is very unfortunate, but yes I heard that there was an argument and scuffle between rival fans. Let's hope he gets through this.

Pathetic is putting it mildly. None of us know the circumstances behind it, but I hope the instigator learns a valuable lesson. There's just no good reason to throw blows over a game.

Never played in an organized league, but I off-ice officiate. Obviously though, I wouldn't know what I am talking about so I won't bother.

My dad thinks Woog knows hockey very well, he's just a stumbly-talker.

My father is 58, played from the age of 5 through high school, and has been an official ever since then. He hasn't been on the ice the last few years because of the bad knees all the skating has given him. He is now a supervisor of officials in MN for USA Hockey.

Good thing he doesn't oversee WCHA officials or I might have questioned his knowledge of hockey. :D

Pretty much. There's been one North Dakota team in the last 10 years who could have won Class A in Minnesota. And that was Grand Forks Central. So obviously Central wins.

I agree with him. Woog has forgotten more about college hockey then most of us will ever know. He's great in the booth and will not hesitate to call MN out if they are playing poorly. He also gave Genoway a lot of praise this weekend.

And yes, I've played hockey. Played for a little school in the Twin Cities called Benilde-St. Margaret's. We were OK. ;)

All these people you're trying to call out for not knowing the game, I've discussed hockey with, and they know what they're talking about.

So? Nobody else really wins the state title other than RR or Central, or the occasional GPR/Fargo South. :p

Hopefully the guy in the hospital is ok, sucks that stuff like that happens over a game. At least all Brent tried to do was poison me on Saturday. :D

I have to assume that your mother hit you over the head with a sugar beet as a child. Have you ever thought that maybe your wife is a retard? If she doesn't' know anything about hockey, how can she tell if he is clueless? she can't so you are a liar, and a moron. Now, you come across as even a bigger retard, because if you think woog is the worse color guy, why would you listen to him? You are too dumb to breath my air, so just shoot yourself, and save some oxygen, OK?
