Rocco isn't helping. And manager is something we can change... unfortunately ownership won't be.

Tigers are in the hardest part of the remaining schedule with 1 home against Baltimore, then on the road for 3 with KC and 3 more at Baltimore. Last six are against Tampa and the White Sox at home, but not sure if they will be able to stick around to make those games matter.

we've won the driving 60% of the time since he took over. Something we hadn't done in seven years.
 
I also don’t blame Rocco. The offense and pitching (especially the bullpen) have taken a nosedive. Feels like they don’t have the horses.

Winning the division and thinking that's fine is MN sports fan thinking. They are not title contenders and never will be with him as manager and the Pohlads as owners

It's just reality.

Could the twins be contenders with Rocco? Yes
Couls the twins be contenders with the current owners? No.

Last year was the first playoff series we won in 21 years. First playoff WIN in 19 years.

That's not a managerial problem, that's an ownership problem.

ETA: since 1991 we have won two playoff series and have a post-season record of 9-29 in ten appearances.

And again we can't change the owners... So we're just supposed to accept mediocrity and bull crap? I don't think so...
We may not have faith in who they hire to bring in but Rocco is not the guy

I really don't know how to put it more succinctly.

This franchise has won two playoff series in 33 years. Nothing is going to change that except a change in ownership.

Even disregarding wins and losses his managing of the pitching staff should be enough to get him fired in my opinion.

People acting all impressed what mossad did to hezbollah via pagers….yet twins bullpen has been blowing their dicks off daily

so tired of watching ober and Lopez be lights out and then the bullpen blows it all up
 
Tigers sweep the Royals in KC. Half game back from the last wild card, 2 games back of KC, 4.5 back from Baltimore, with a three game series against the O's starting Friday.

25-10 since August 10th.

Only negative on this run is that they lose the tiebreaker to KC and Minnesota, so they’re really down 1.5 and 3 games to make the playoffs. But getting a struggling O’s team, mediocre Tampa, and the White Sox to end the year puts them in great position.
