MLB 2015 - Meet the new boss, same as the old boss!

East coast is infinitely more interesting. But I still like Midwest baseball best.

You have the best tailgating. You have wide open area and easy access to the park. You often have teams that can't afford a murderer's row of players so you need to squeeze everything out if the players you have when you have them.

That goes for many sports. When GLM ventured out here from NY for a F5, he was astounded at the tailgating and attendance. 30 degrees? Yep, we tailgate. The camaraderie also blew him away.

Isn't Iwakuma the guy that had 42 straight scoreless innings against the Twins until Dozier hit a dinger against him a few weeks ago?

Mets complete the sweep of Colorado, 12-3. Now 4 games ahead of Washington and 11-2 since the trading deadline.

The first place in the East Jays sweep the A's, have won 11 straight with the Yanks coming to Skydome (I refuse to call it Rogers Centre) for a weekend series. The 11 game streak is the 2nd this season, ties the team record and the Jays are the first team with multiple 11-game streaks in the same year since the 1954 Cleveland Indians.

This is fun! I might have to go to Philly next week.

Pretty crazy what the Mets and Jays have done since the deadline.

Does everyone in Canada like the Jays? I feel like a Canada-New York (even if it's the "b" team) World Series would draw big numbers. Maybe not on solely on Fox, but combining Fox and whatever Canadian channel has the WS.

If we're going down the pipe dream path, there's a certain team in the NL that's on fire that would bring in record ratings.

The baseball gods will punish you for those thoughts, as they have for 100+ years.

Was Bartman the last time the Cubs were in the playoffs?

I believe so. After that, I believe Kerry Wood and Mark Prior had their rotator cuffs amputated, or something, because they were never the same again.
