Amazing. A nine inning game with four runs scored takes four hours. I'll take it though.

Anyone know what the schedule for the ALCS would be? Monday the Bruins and Red Wings play a matinee at the Garden at 1:00. It would be awesome if the Red Sox and Tigers squared off at 7:00 at Fenway.

You seem awfully sure that Oakland isn't showing up to game 5.

That said, a quick, tidy Google search for "2013 mlb postseason schedule" yields ALCS games in Boston on 12th and 13th to start it. Man, that almost felt like work. Hard work, in the words of GWB.

No, but it wouldn't be nearly as cool if Boston played Detroit in hockey and baseball against Oakland :p

Pats have the 4:25 game on Sunday on Fox. Fox has the ALCS rights and the NFL doubleheader. That means an 8:00 (or later) start on Sunday.

So the season premiere of The Walking Dead will actually be the late innings of the Red Sox game.

Girardi signs with the Yankees for four more years. If he lasts till the end of the contract, he will have been the manager for 10 years. He did a great job this year, and he'll have to do another great job (or be really, really lucky) for the next four if the Yankees are going to be relevant at all. If he survives the next four years, the Yankees may be consistent contenders again, and he will have the chance to be one of the longest tenured managers in one of the most difficult job in sports. He's only in his forties, so age isn't a factor.
