As a big fan of Frank Thomas, I want to stab anyone that believes this...

Too bad for Biggio. Hard to imagine him not getting in next year though.

I feel really bad for Jack Morris. Now he has to wait another 3 years before the Veterans Committee can vote him in.

Alan Trammell needs to get in as well. How he only got 20% of the vote is a joke.

Biggio is going to get in eventually and most likely next year. I am surprised Morris numbers went down a bit being that it was his last shot.

I don't think Tim Raines will get in unless it's via the veterans committee.

Frank Thomas getting in bodes well for Jim Thome who had similar number of years and numbers (20 yrs, 612 hr, 2328 H, etc.).

Next year's vote could be even more crowded when Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, Carlos Delgado and Gary Sheffield become eligible, five years after their retirements

Nice drive-by. Did you bother reading his reasons? (Entirely reasonable, in my mind.) Did you happen to see what Deadspin did with the ballot? (Every single one of the ten they voted for at least has a strong argument to be in the Hall.)

His reasons don't change the fact that it basically results in voter fraud. Seems certain he won't get to vote again. I wonder if his votes were even counted.

Are you kidding? I can't WAIT for his speech. :D

I have never doubted Gary's talent. He will get in - not sure about first ballot, though. Didn't he have some PED connections later in his career? I can't remember if he actually tested positive, but there was a link with Bonds.

Nobody knew who it was until after everything was tallied and announced, so they were probably counted.
