Loved the Red Sox winning, but a bit sad to see the Tigers and Cards lose. Two great organizations, with great fans, especially the ones who participate on this board.

It had been 28 long months since the city of Boston had a parade. That lengthy drought is now over.

My math was wrong. I was off by a year. Boston has won 8 of the last 47 championships which is 17%. Boston has been in the final four 18 times (38.3%).

David Ortiz is the first non-Yankee to win 3 World Series with the same team since Jim Palmer.

St. Louis beat Boston in 46' and 67' and now we're even, 2004 and 2013. I remember 67' 75' and 86' and believe me, it was a long time and very frustrating for generations until 2004. This was real nice winning in at Fenway for a change.
