Well. Those first few innings kind of sucked ***. I got to send the same text twice: "Huge error leads to bases loaded, one out instead of a DP and out of the inning." (I know Koz didn't really have a play on the second one, but ****.)

Can we have horrible calls overturned in other sports in similar fashion? NBA games might become watchable.

Well I did not enjoy that one bit. At least Holliday broke the shut out. He was by far our best player yesterday.

Carlos Beltran is back in the lineup tonight. Rumor is Patrice Bergeron stopped by Fenway this afternoon and asked Beltran to tell him more about his boo boo on his ribs.

Likewise, Curt Schilling and Kirk Gibson have talked to Clay Buchholz and now the kid will start game 4.

Okay, I never would have bet on the Red Sox doing THAT.

Oh well. That just means Papi is going to have to pound another one halfway to Pawtucket.

I figured they were going to lose tonight because I left the state. And I'm gone the rest of the World Series. *sigh*

With apologies to fans of any other MLB clubs-the match up between these 2 teams just makes it all so interesting. Would be a shame if this does not go seven and have the last game go multiple extra innings and end on an exciting play. This year the playoff system got it right-the 2 best teams are playing in the WS.

Eh, it doesn't interest me one bit. Don't care for either of the teams, and the local MLB franchise has soured me on the sport lately due to their total incompetance. Regular season NHL games are gaining my interest ahead of the Series.

Would be nice, though, if the "exciting play" consisted of great hits, great defense, and great pitching. The first two games have turned on inept defense and walks, and even some bad umpiring. Fortunately, the bad umpiring got corrected, but heaving the ball into the stands instead of third base, and the 50 foot pop hits could not.

You should have been a Cardinal fan for the 1964-1967-1968-1982-1985-1987 series(all seven games). You would have needed oxygen. 2004-2006 were just too one sided but they returned to form for 2011 for another seven game series.
