Guess they thought he was too much of a Risk. I'll bet they're Sorry he couldn't Connect Four brain cells together.

/come on, keep it going

That's Life. It doesn't take a Scotland Yard detective to know he was in Candyland.

(Risk and Sorry are Hasbro games)

I had Trouble just limiting myself to MB. It leads to a lot of Aggravation.

Anyway, back to the Parcheesi board game jokes.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

I don't think Gardy made half way there before he tossed him. Definitely hadn't opened his mouth yet.

I get that you can't argue balls and strikes. But in that particular situation an ump should be open to a little reason. But no, of course not.

Bert said it well: "And as I knew would happen, Joe West makes himself a part of this game." :D

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

That's the 3rd time he's done that in a week. First Maddon, then Francona, now Gardenhire. Now, Gardenhire isn't exactly the most mild-mannered manager out there, but this is ridiculous. And to think West and Angel Hernandez work in the same crew.

The problem is that Gardenhire came out to show West up... The pitch was clearly called a strike... We all know (Well most of us... Still get coaches that want to appeal this  ) that once a strike is declared, it's not questionable... West clearly signaled FOUL TIP... At that point, Gardy had nothing to stand on... Coming out and telling West to ask is just showing him up at that point... There is no reason to question the call...

Except that he didn't tip it? Seems like a good reason to me.

Is it just me or are umpires the most thin skinned of professional sports officials? I'd bet Bill McCreary hears worse from Chris Pronger when he feels he shouldn't have gotten called than most managers get tossed for...and he doesn't even react...

They don't like it when someone bumps their big belly. :D

Per MLB radio, Harmon Killebrew has released a statement that his battle with cancer is coming to an end, as they have been unable to control his esophegal cancer. He was moved into hospice today.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Sad day. Killer is one of the greats. Hopefully he is able to stay comfortable and enjoy his last days with his family.
