MLB 2010: The Second Half

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Am I the only one who thought the Andro thing was a front? He had it in his locker, right out in front, for all to see. It was legal for him to take at the time, so he made sure every reporter knew that's what he was taking. Great away to diffuse the situation right at the start.

"Wow, Big Mac is crushing the ball! I wonder if he's...oh, it's just Andro. Nevermind."

But it was OMGDRUGSDRUGSDRUGS!!!!! at the time. I didn't know it was legal. I'm sure others didn't, either. And even though it was legal, you had people saying that the only reason he was jacking HR's was because of andro, not talent.

It was a mess, and even now I don't think MLB is trying very hard in the pros to clean it up, unless most everyone turned clean overnight.

A lot of relief pitchers have been getting caught over the last few years which I found strange.

Although J.C. Romero actually looked like he juiced. He was buff!

It was "OMGDRUGSDRUGSDRUGS!!!!!" at first, then people found out it wasn't a banned substance, and that quieted down.

These days, the media (and, as a result, the public) look back and say, "Of course it was the Andro, and whatever else he was on!"

Gah, why the **** are the Yankees playing a day game today? I missed out on a good start from Burnett because I didn't check my fantasy lineup earlier.

Uh... the Yanks are playing right now... and Burnett has pitched one whole inning.

I really don't give a hell if A-Rod hits number 600 or not. I'd rather watch the game that's in extras.

Agreed. I laughed when the announcers wondered why people were leaving? Uh, maybe there are some actual Cleveland fans, and wanted to leave early, being that their team was down 8-0.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

I know it! "People are leaving! Do they think he struck out?" God forbid anyone not give a crap about a Yankee.

If yours were the prevailing attitude, they wouldn't show the cutaways. I hope this doesn't come as a shock to you that the world does not revolve around your exclusive tastes.

Re: MLB 2010: The Second Half

Doesn't shock me at all. But they are the same tastes as the people I am watching game with and nearly everyone in Cleveland, evidently.

And unfortunately, the media world thinks that everyone is interested in the Yankees.

This StL-NYM game is much better in this case.
