Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

One of the few times I've ever cheered for Brian McCann to get a hit.

I'm not counting on anything yet. The NL has seen this story before. The AL always rallies.

I still haven't forgiven Trevor Hoffman.

Insurmountable 2 run leads in the 7th inning and all...

With the NL pitching as good as it is and the AL big guns already off the field? Yeah, it's over. Unless of course the AL pulls a rabbit's foot out of their ***.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

How is it spending wisely when the Yankees were rumored as front runners to try and get Jason Werth? Oops Granderson didn't work out. That's okay, we've got an endless money supply and can just go after another all-star.

you are actually right (sort of). it isnt spending wisely when you go out and trade vazquez for werth, or trade austin jackson for granderson, or trade melky cabrera for vazquez in the first place

it isnt spending at all - thats why they call it trading. are you suggesting the yankees bribe teams into making trades with them?

Pretty sure the AL's leading HR hitter is still in the game in Jose Bautista. As well as Paul Konerko who has 20. Oh and David Ortiz as DH currently.

But yea all the big guns are gone.

I still haven't forgiven Trevor Hoffman.

You mean Miguel Cabrera for having less range than a statue and the NL manager for having Scott Rolen sitting on the bench when he could have been playing third?

And now Holliday and Wainwright are trying to screw the NL. Holliday with a little league error and Wainwright walking Kinsler on 5 pitches.

I also don't drink the piss water that is Bud/Miller/etc. which I believe is why you were being looked down on, and rightly so! :D

Meh. I always bring whatever the situation dictates. If I'm going to a grill out where Miller is not only acceptable but preferred I'll bring that. If I'm heading to one where you need to up the ante, I'll show up with something better in tow.

Re: MLB 2010: Hope Springs Eternal

Yup.

Always gotta throw your two-cents in don't ya?

Like I said, the game ends and the NL wins if the NL manager isn't a complete retard and inserts the best defensive third basemen in baseball at the time, Scott Rolen for the ninth inning for Miguel Cabrera the worst.

The ball is then fielded and Rolen gets the out and the NL wins.

Phil Garner was the moron manager. After 2007 he never managed again.
