Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

It went from sunny to midnight in less than an hour where I am. Oh boy is this great! /Flounder

Yep... definitely time to unplug the computer.

It hasn't rained quite as much as I expected, nor as hard, but seeing the clouds boiling overhead is still pretty awesome.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

As cool as they looked they were just run of the mill thunderstorms. I hope some more redevelop! That feels unlikely just based on how much the air has cooled off after those storms passed through.

It's done. Next chance is Friday, I think. Next couple days will be very nice.

Just heavy rain and a lot of lightning in the metro out of that line - probably a good thing given the widespread strong winds that hit not too long ago.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

3 inches of rain in Hayward WI?! JFC.

And I guess the heat index was 104 in the Cities.

Gee, it's "only" 74, with a 70 dew point right now. Whee.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Thunder rumbling thru here in SE Michigan. Very dark to the Northwest of me. Looks like Ann Arbor should be getting some good stuff pretty soon.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Time: 11pm Central
Temp: 86
Dew Point: 73

Yeah.

Edit: small mistake. It feels like 86. It's only 81. And a 74 dew point. That's much better.

Quarter after 11:00pm. Still feels like a sauna.

I'm bringing a towel to work tomorrow, to continuously wipe the sweat from my brow. No joke. I looked like this today:

Currently:

91 degrees
75 dew point
102 heat index.

And we haven't reached our predicted high for today.

The entire twin cities metro area is under a flash flood warning 'til 2 a.m.

Storms are moving about as quickly as a fat person at a racetrack and are dumping a lot of rain on the area (and worst of all, are disrupting my satellite reception). :p

Had three lightning bolts hit no more than a couple hundred yards away about 45 minutes ago. Yeah, that got the heart going...

Having satellite issues here as well, which doesn't surprise me as I bet we are within 5-10 miles of each other.

Was hoping to catch the storms tonight, but it looks like it's just gonna miss Mad-town, or if they do hit, it'll be really late.
