Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Looks like the F4 was on the right weekend. We're allegedly going to get some snow this weekend; a couple inches. That's after the rain turns into the snow.
Much more typical of April than last weekend, that's for sure. :p

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Another major storm is expected to impact the area Tuesday-Wednesday. Two forecast models (GFS and NAM) predict heavy snow for southern MN (nearly a foot for the twin cities metro). The third model (European) takes the storm further south, much like the last one - but still predicts 3-4" for the metro. There's a strong likelihood that we will move up to #3 all-time for winter snowfall by Wednesday.

Why can't it just rain?

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

I don't care if it snows, I'm not plowing it. I took the plow off yesterday and I'm not putting it back on until October.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Winter storm watch now in effect for SE MN (Twin Cities metro is on the NW edge of the watch). A half-foot of snow is possible, especially to the SE of the Cities. Looks like this will end up the 3rd snowiest winter of all-time. Areas S and E of Rochester might be pushing 10" of snow.

Next week, we'll probably be in the 60s.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Last weeks "snow" didnt even accumulate around here. I think people are overreacting :)

I didn't have more than a trace at my house, but when I got to the farm Saturday morning there was about 2 inches on the ground. Made the roads a muddy hell, my truck looks like I took it through the Houghton County Fair mud bog.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Wow thank god I stocked up for that...snow? There is literally 1mm of snow TOTAL around my entire building. There is actually less precipitation on the ground right now than there is on the average dew speckled morning. And the weather report shows the clouds will be gone by tonight.

The Weather Terrorists are getting dumber by the day!

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

There was about an inch on the ground at my house when I left this morning. It was all gone except for a couple small spots by the time I got home from work.
