Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Forecast models are trending southward with the predicted storm track - 4-6" of snow is now expected in the twin cities late Tuesday into Wednesday next week. Of course, given we're a few days out, there's a chance they could shift the track back to the north again.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

You hate "Fargo" but realize that a lot of your family has that accent.

You get mad at people who think Fargo is in Minnesota.

you watch "fargo" and point out the geographical errors (taking interstate 35 from brainerd, saying they are coming from the north but standing at an exit on 394, etc.)

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

This weather can fornicate itself with an iron rod.

I was just about to search for this thread.

I guess God's still pizzed about the Sioux winning the F5, since after 3 of the best days of weather we've had this year has been followed with a couple of the worst. I'll take a Halloween Snowstorm over this crap.

It's already glare ice on my patio. I can't even imagine the roads right now.

Highways will be fine since the ground is warmer now and the chemicals will work well.

Side streets are another matter once the air temperature drops below freezing.

The winter storm warning has been expanded another tier of counties southward and now includes the downtowns. 4-7" of snow expected by tomorrow night.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

It is super windy in the Duluth area. My bedrooms drafts are clearly evident. My room has to be 5 to 10 degrees colder than usual.

Looks like the snow is hitting Cloquet to Hinckley. Not what I wanted when I envisioned school being cancelled :upset: Schools are already cancelled in Willow River, Cloquet, Esko...

I hope things get worse overnight...

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Really windy here, too. It's a little brisk out when those gusts hit.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Its just ice and snow, nothing we're not used to.

I know, but after this past weekend's weather.....it's frustrating. Just like it is every year. It's like the hot girl you want. She'll give you a handjob, get you all worked up, then blueball you a few times before you get to bang her. That's the transformation from a MN winter to a MN summer.

That is a rather amazing comparison.
Sorry, Biddco--Dry Canadian air kept the worst of the snow south of here. Nothing but a dusting here on Observation Hill.

You were wrong. There were 3 inches of ice on highway 65 this morning. With snow on top of that.

I woke up to at least 10 inches of snow in the driveway, probably more. You could see a mark in the snow where my differential hit the snow. That is a lot of snow.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

12-19" forecast for Bemidji. What did we get? A dusting. I hate meteorologists...

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

Two of the guys who work for me called in. I'm sure the third will be real late. Wusies. You live in Minnesota, suck it up cupcake.

Not even CLOSE to that much here. A good amount of ice, though.

And thank you, diva. I think it is a great comparison, myself.

Re: Minnesotans arguing about the weather...

It took me twice as long to get to work yesterday than it did today, and the commute consists of about an eight mile jaunt down 35E. This does not compute.

Indeed. Highway 10 was a mess this morning. Driving on a snowy, icy washboard. Even four wheel drive vehicles weren't daring to do much over 35. We got about 6 or 7 here. Couldn't get up the driveway when I got back.
