I miss the changing of the seasons but I surely do not miss what you're currently experiencing. I can handle below 0 but that wind!!

It's been relatively tame here in Iowa so far outside the cold. 4-5 inches yesterday and nothing close to blizzard like conditions yet. Supposedly the wind will pick up but we'll see.

My job is like "you will be risking your lives, while I will be risking a nomination for Best Supporting Actor."

At least I get double time for working this weekend!

It's been an interesting afternoon here in Chicagoland.

At my place it was around 34-35*F around 1pm. By 3pm it was down to 14-15*F. Currently at 6pm it is around 4*F.

Wind is a sustained 20+ mph. Thankfully we have our few inches of snow and that is gonna be it. This could have been REALLY bad if we got the snowfall that the early models were suggesting.

Also gonna be really interesting for the Bears/Buffalo game on Sat. Winds will be gusting 30-40mph with temps around 0*F.

They stuck one of the Weather Channel dudes in Holland, MI if I needed more if a sign that tonight will probably suck.

Hope nobody is expecting any last minute gifts to be delivered tomorrow. Louisville and Memphis are going to be s-shows tonight.

Been hilarious watching Louisville. Went from 45+ to below 30 in the matter of an hour or two and it's supposed to heading toward below zero with snow the entire time. I might get to sleep in tomorrow...

Yes. Dropped from around 50-52 this morning down to below 0 before the night is over.

Current temp in W St Paul is -12*F, windchill at -33. Given all that’s been in the news, I was expecting worse.

We're on the rain side of the storm. 1.5" when all is said and done. Wind gusting 40-60mph. Serious temp drop tomorrow late afternoon. Single digit wind chills for the Patriots game Sat.

Wicked High Tides here, customer on an island has a dock that was completely under water, float and walk way at end of dock might be gone by now. Gas/diesel Pump on end has waves crashing onto it. This place has been here as a working boatyard since late 1800s. Last time I added some controls on boathouse wall they had me mount them high so these freak high tides wouldn't soak them. The boathouse is on the dock, full of old boat making tools. Bet it had 2ft of water in it and that building has been there for over 100 years. Not going to be there for another 100 years

A friend (and former poster) is back home in Portland for the holiday and has been posting videos of the wave action along the coastline. I guess this particular high tide is 3-4 feet above the previous record.
