85 degrees out. Not bad.

Oh, forgot to mention the dew point is at 74.

Re: Minnesotans Arguing About the Weather III: Storm's a comin'

Seven inches of rain came down upon the Copper Country over night causing flash flooding, washouts, and chaos.

A lot of work is needed just to make these areas passable again, not to mention the cost needed to bring the roads and infrastructure back to what it should be. The other concern with these washouts and caving grounds is how much the underground resembles swiss cheese due to the mining and what new weak spots have been created.

Just reading up on this. This is completely messed up...

Curious if this will affect any of the Gopher Hockey Road Trip Crew's trip up there next month.....

My god. It’s devastating.

Unfortunately the last two links didn’t work.

Re: Minnesotans Arguing About the Weather III: Storm's a comin'

Looks horrible. I’m worried most about the residents but I’m also a little worried about our big trip there in July. Hardy people up there, I’m hoping for a quick recovery.

The pics and vids I'm seeing on FB are insane. And more rain tonight. Good God......

Re: Minnesotans Arguing About the Weather III: Storm's a comin'

This is far from over. More rain will mean more sinkholes, especially with all the old mine shafts and stopes within modern Houghton city limits.

I've been seeing that they are saying that even if a road isn't washed out, don't drive on it; they don't know how stable it will be.

Re: Minnesotans Arguing About the Weather III: Storm's a comin'

I saw a picture of Bridge St starting to form sinkholes.
