Well...I was very much looking forward to having someone with her size and skill on a Gopher line. I thought a forward with her size would have added a nice dimension on any line concocted from a pretty nice bunch of forwards overall.
I'm sure it is. She was recruited to Minnesota for what she could bring to the team, so those contributions will be missed. First and foremost, this is always about the young ladies, so I hope that things work out well for her. As far as the Gophers, there are years where the loss of a player hits harder than others. They graduated 4 forwards last year, and in Davis, Terry, Kessel, and Brausen that is already 4 replacements. They also add Stenerson who could fill that D/F role that Frischmann had last year with Katie moving to D full time. With Schoullis back, they should then have one more forward than last season. The silver lining could be that it keeps the number of forwards in this class down to a more reasonable size. If you get too many in one recruiting class, it means that you have to bring in a big bunch again 4 years in the future. Plus, it means opportunity for someone else. Like when the Lams transferred, the impact can be offset by the performance of the person who eventually gets a scholarship that otherwise would not have.
