Is she headed somehwere eles? Any word on why she isn't coming? Good player that would have helped add some strengh to the UM line up.
I can't comment on why she's not coming, but WCHFan was inquiring earlier in this thread about "a big recruit" not playing due to an illness.

It's an unfortunate loss, similar to when Renee Curtin couldn't play following her injury. The only saving grace from my perspective is that the Gophers were going to have two healthy scratches this season, and now one of those players can fill in. I normally don't like carrying extra players to the point where one or two have to sit each game, but this is where they become beneficial.

Looks like Manitoba, Minnesota's first opponent on Sunday, is off to a very good start this year:

They were to have played the Toronta Aeros last night and they face off against SCSU on Saturday, which should provide a better indication on how they match up against D1 teams.

With 6 games already under their belt before Sunday, they should have their systems and line combinations pretty well set, so this game could be interesting.
