me too (voting for Hannah & a speedy recovery for Paige)

Most Disappointing Gopher Team:
Men's Hockey leads Men's Football 44-17,
but that's probably more a reflection on the number of people that care

So it likely was written for Haley's hometown paper, and the GF Herald picked it up off the wire. It'd be nice if one of the local rags had done so, too, but a quick search doesn't find a mention.
I looked up the Republican Eagle website and found the story.

The timing of the article implies that no one in the press -- not even said hometown paper -- knew about the incident until Paige was spotted at that Red Wing HS game wearing the neck brace. There was nothing in the article indicating where the accident occurred, just that it was somewhere between Duluth and Red Wing, and that's a fairly large distance. The game was Tuesday, questions were asked, answered, and the article was published Wednesday.

The Grand Forks Herald and Red Wing Republican Eagle are owned by the same company, and they probably shared the story that way - rather than a traditional wire service - so the story probably wasn't available to any of the major TC papers.

Brandt and Cameranesi don't seem to be playing the Whitecaps game tonight and weren't invited to the USA camp -- are they okay?

It's part of the eeeeeevil Frost plan to prevent women from playing hockey. He only permitted 10 forwards to dress tonight - why oh why do girls continue to sign with Minnesota just to be so cruelly stashed?
5-4 Whitecaps final

They were playing banged up throughout the first half (esp Brandt). Hopefully, they'll be back Friday and are just trying to heal as much as possible for the second half of the season

And in addition, since it was just an exhibition, I would imagine that Frost wanted to give everyone else on the roster plenty of ice time.

NO! He wants to stash them and not let them play, try to follow along.

So heading into the second half.......

I certainly think this team can beat anyone, and won't be at all surprised if they win another national championship. But I do get worried about their defense, and last night didn't help any in that regard! A lot of the time I'm missing Rachel Ramsey just as I expected heading into the season.

I'd like to see Kate Schipper pick it up again and produce more like she did the first month and half of the season and see Megan Wolfe blossom late in the season as she did last year!

Pretty cool the band was there last night for an exhibition game

Go Gophers!

With Coach Johnson leading Team USA at the U18WWC and Coach Muz now on maternity leave, I'm wondering who will be joining Frosty on the bench this weekend.

CrazyDave is the only guess anybody has as to who's going to coach with Frosty?

I'm going with Bethany Brausen (either her or CrazyDave)

Andy Kent.

Do we know that Muzzy isn't going to be behind the bench? It seemed like she was there right up until her first child was born.

I wonder what Lev's status is for today. Wisconsin fans think that Channell isn't going to play even on Sunday, but I had assumed that Amanda would be back in uniform this weekend. I guess we'll find out.

I believe Coach Muz had a baby boy on January 6 or 7th!

In his continuing effort to prevent good players from having the opportunity to play hockey the eeeeevvviiillll Brad Frost only dressed 11 forwards for today's game aginst OSU. Why oh why will nobody stop his stashing of players he has no intention of playing???
