Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin: Secondary Rivalry, Just As Much Hatred
agreed on all fronts. and I understand the pride on ice, I'd be proud too if one day I showed up at the KC and there were 24 Wisconsin born kids on UW and they were contending year in and year out for the title
to be truthful it's part of what stings losing to minnesota for me. to know that they're mostly home grown and if the WANT to be 100% MN again they can do it and still contend for NCAA titles
I guess it's part envy
but now let's get back to the series! Shuchuk will suit up this weekend! SCHUUUUUUUUUUUUUCHUUUUUUUUUUUK!
I'm going both nights now, can't effing wait
Thanks man. I am not criticizing other programs for not taking the same approach as Mariucci did at Minnesota, but I think understanding this is essential to understanding the pride many mistake for arrogance (yes, there is some actual arrogance from some).
I think UW and Wisconsin hockey has come a long way, and I think in the next 10 years you will see more and more Kessel and Pavelski types players emerge. And that will be a great thing for Wisconsin, UW, and USA Hockey![]()
