Minnesota vs. UAA - Vengeance (10/28 - 10/29)

Re: Minnesota vs. UAA - Vengeance (10/28 - 10/29)

Please try not to moan too much about the student run video production. Compared to other similar broadcasts they're better than some ...

So there's that.

No complaining at all, I'm just happy it will be viewable somewhere. I watched some of the Jan Brady UAA game a few weeks ago online and the video was decent I thought.

Ah, go ahead and complain. If the video isn't up to FSN standards we should be arrogant enought to b**** about it! Personally I'm too old to stay up and watch a streaming webcast that late. The third period will be waaaaay past my bedtime.

Me too. I might try to watch and/or listen to some of it but I might not make it through because we are heading up to Mille Lacs in the morning to hit the pond.

Bites that there is no TV, guess I'll have to watch the last baseball game.

Hey, is Dealiest Catch filming right now? If not, why not use their equipment and put it on the Discovery Channel?

If they play a hockey game and it's not on TV, did it really happen? Does it count? It is 2011, right?

Hope you net some big walters and tank smallies. I'll be doing the same much closer to home.

The game is on TV. Your local broadcaster chooses not to pick it up.

So there's that.

Why so boring to Goldie fan club members let me guess
1. Can’t brag on how bad you beat the Seawolves the last time they played you.
2. Win streak got broke by whom?
3. Have the couldn’t care less mind-set because you quit the WCHA.
4. Got *** handed to them by players who the tDon didn’t even take a look at.
5. Can’t wait to look down at Ohio and Penn State fans
6. Felt for the player’s who had to travel to Alaska that where afraid of the dark.
7. To cheap to take a trip to Alaska for a road game.

wasnt a bad run

Nice win by the Gophers in a tough place to play, let's stay out of the box again and get the sweep tomorrow.

Any comments from people that were able to watch the game?

Gophers looked good. Controlled play for most of the game. Had another undisciplined stretch in the third period where they took three straight penalties. They moved the puck really well. Haula is really locked in right now. Playing with a ton of confidence. This team has a ton of balance, which makes it tough for teams to matchup against. You can't just shut down one line and expect to beat them.

I thought the UAA commentators said it best when they said, "We are trying to run-and-gun against a team we cannot run-and-gun with". And "The Gophers are extremely tenacious, and they haven't been that way the last few years."

Re: Minnesota vs. UAA - Vengeance (10/28 - 10/29)

Last season the Seawolves proved the old hockey adage that "will beats skill" this season the more skilled team also plays with will. So far, anyway.

And "The Gophers are extremely tenacious, and they haven't been that way the last few years."

How long have we Gopher fans been waiting for this? If you define "the last few years" as 3 or 4, it definitely feels longer than this! Whatever, I sure hope they keep their intensity level up where it's been so far, as the change is obvious.

If the team can come away with another win tonight, it would be a real momentum and confidence booster heading into next weekend's series against the Sue, who are obviously struggling.
