Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

I do love the yearly "Lohse is good!" Until he's not. Again. And again. And yet again.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

He will get votes because his name never came up during the steroid era. If he happens to play 2-3 more years and gets close to 400 I think he has a chance. If he retires after this year then no.

Based on BBR's HOF numbers, he isn't even going to sniff the HOF.

This.

A 5-time All Star, even with 9 Gold Gloves? No. He's on the ballot for 2-3 years, and then onto the side of a milk carton.

His numbers have been in decline for 3 years. He'll have to play until at least age 43 to even talk about 400 homers, and that's if he treads water, production-wise, which he hasn't.

Hunter? Not. Even. Close.

IMO, Gold Gloves are a sham for the most part. It becomes name recognition (like All-Star nominations) after a while.

His numbers are not super-special, which is what the HOF should be.

Stauffer throwing up meatballs again today. DFA he and Duensing now. Santana needs to be sent down to AAA to get his crap together. Is the June swoon here? Losing 2 to the lowly Brewers at home could kick start it.

It's rather disturbing how many batters were stranded in scoring position today. Heck of a pitching effort, by both pitchers, though.

Santana has been sent down with Vargas taking his spot. Duensing and Fien can both follow him.

Pelfrey for Cy Young. Seems like pitching coach Allen has turned him around for now.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Draft starts at 6 pm. Twins pick #6.

This draft is wide open, but most mock drafts have the Twins selecting Tyler Jay (P) from Illinois.

Sad looking crowd at Target Field tonight, on TV at least.

Disappointing for a nice night and a 1st place team.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014: The Quest for .500

Two well pitched games and we get 1 run total to back them up. That's not gonna do it.
