Minnesota Twins 2010: The Return of Outdoor Baseball

They're only being compared because of what Slap Shot posted. I certainly didn't open this can of worms. :p

I was comparing the disdain for the two. For Punto imho it's been wholly justified (if perhaps not to the hate degree) while for Young imho it's been premature.

Young is going to be compared with who was traded for him. In that comparison he's been an abysmal failure to this point. That doesn't mean (and never has) that that fact could change.

Compared by jackmorons. Young didn't initiate the trade and he can only do what he can for the Twins.

Aaah, now the personal attacks start. You usually are so level headed yet here you are with man love for Young and disdain for Punto.

Who da thunk it? Certainly not me.

I swear, punto generates more back and forth than supreme court nominees...

Don't play the matryr - that remark was mostly a figure of speech. ;) I have no man love for Young, I'm saying he's 25 and still appears to have legitimate real potential and I think the disdain is unwarranted. And simply put comparing him to what he was traded for accomplishes nothing since the only thing that matters now is what Young can contribute to the team, which I think could still be quite a bit. :)

If we're going on potential, I would highly recommend against making a down payment on a home based on potential earnings... :p

Like I said, no one hopes he's the bees knees more than I do. Getting a little sick every time I hear Garza's name is getting old.
