Shut it down. Pack it up. This team is toast. We're going nowhere.

How about Baker...I know I wont miss Moonshot if they trade his *** away. Good thing we locked him up!
I don't know why he hasn't been mentioned. Every article I've read about this potential deal has either referenced Slowey or Blackburn as the major league starter that is shipped with the prospects. Strangely, none of the articles even bothers mentioning the possibility of the Twins trading for Lee and then signing him to an extension. They all assume he'll just be rented for the remainder of this season and then go elsewhere.

Lee and his agent, Boras, I believe, have said that they want to test free agency and that they won't sign an extension with any team. Lee is strictly a rental, unless you are prepared to give him crazy money in free agency next winter.

The money he will ask for, I kind of hope they don't sign him. Let the Red Sox overpay for him next year. But if they dont find a way to bring him in this year then I dont know. They have the pieces most likely the Mariners will want, everyone is talking about it including ESPN who usually ignore Twins possible trades (and why wouldnt they) so get it done.

Christ if not Lee, at least Oswalt...something ANYTHING! This team needs a shot in the arm, they are still going to win the division of that I have no doubt but they need something to change, a slumpbuster of some sort. Bringing in a pitcher who isnt a clone of Radke and has name cache and tons of talent could be like Mango to George Costanza! (rather obscure reference :p )

All that matters. All that has ever mattered. Is winning the division. I'm just going to kick back and enjoy the 162(3) game ride.

So then all that matters is winning the WCHA? :p

Winning the Division means nothing...sorry but I dont want to be the Atlanta Braves, I would rather be the New York Yankees :D

(and yes I see what you are doing I was just using it as a launching point)

5-0...thanks for showing up boys :/

Probably too much Paint Thinner to numb the pain of having to be in Milwaukee ;) :p

Lee for 3 years. Pay him. Then let others overpay him. The Twins are prime for a true title run, and (knowing their recent history) PITCHING somehow is the problem at hand.

I think 3 years gives them that window to make a bigtime run. They now have the power, they are THAT close on the pitching, so let's finish it and get that key player.

That and it would free them from his contract just in time for morneau's resigning

That, and he'll be 37 at the end of the contract. Good luck with good stats at that point. It MAY happen, but not likely.
