I don't know what the Twins call this...but good baseball it is not.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

That _is_ amazing.

A quick peek at the record books shows that was his 25th career triple. Last one was in 2004 with the Phillies.

Yep.

Line drive off the right side of the scoreboard on the corner, obviously a weird bounce, making the fielder waiting for the carom way out of position.

He might be slower than Prince Fielder. :eek:

I kinda get the impression that playing that right field wall is kinda like playing in a fun house.

Yeah. Although I haven't watched a TON of games, the games I've seen have involved the limestone wall, the scoreboard, and other assorted spins on the caroms due to who knows what.

It made Cuddy look silly at times early in the year. He's getting better (when he's not an infielder), but I think he misses the baggie.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Looked like a normal pitch. Except that it probably hit $Texas mph.

Bert, don't be rippin' Sweet Music Viola! :mad:

"That can't be Viola; he caught it."

Ugh, Twins :(

It's a long season and all, but please feel free to break out of this **** *** funk you're in any day now, boys.

I know a win's a win, but better now than in October. You can still recover now.

No argument there. At present, however, it sucks to watch the pitching staff (sans Pavano and his sweet mustache) struggle so hard and everyone else seem to hit the ball right at a fielder or K in big situations.

Credit Detroit, too, for coming out with purpose. Would be nice to see the Twins put a little of that out there, too. I think the fact it seems they are only "going through the motions*" in this slump is what makes it the most frustrating.

*Probably not entirely true, but just an observation.

We should ask Detroit if they wanna flip a coin for tomorrow's game. Probably a better chance of winning. :o

No. Now we don't have the back half of the bullpen tomorrow. Marlboro Jimmy just said that he wasn't going to use Valverde tomorrow "no matter what". Fu Te Ni is probably our closer tomorrow. I'd rather go find Hideo Nomo.

Is Ni that bad? I've only seen him a few times, and he seems serviceable.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

He's not as bad as I make him out to be, but I'm not a fan.
