Good win over a good team, nice to see a CG too after the last couple of days.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

So I used this free mlb.tv this weekend to rewatch yesterday's twins game. I found out how the phillies get pitch speed on the boards in the park.

They literally have a guy in the seats behind home with a walkie talkie. That's just hilarious.

Do all teams do this? I thought it was all automatic.

Just think of the turnaround that happened during that last series. Top of the ninth on Saturday, already lost the first game, down 5 in the second game and have to play Halladay in the third. Really ****ing grim, if you ask me.

Who would have thought that they'd come back to win on Saturday and that Pavano would outpitch Halladay on Sunday. It was sure fun to watch.

It sure was, I was pleasantly surprised. I think it was my saying that we would lose the division lead during the series that did it. :D

Now, we just need to get Cliff Lee...
It'd cost the Twins Ramos, someone like Slowey, and some other prospect. I just don't see the organization being willing to part with that much to get a top of the line starter (I hope I'm wrong - Lee would be a difference-maker). Plus they'd have to lock him up for at least three years to make the trade worthwhile - and that would probably cost $30 million.

I saw this ad on tv and thought it was unintentionally hilarious:

How about Baker...I know I wont miss Moonshot if they trade his *** away. Good thing we locked him up!

That's worth it. Ramos will never start here, Slowey can't go more than 5 innings, and the prospect probably isn't worth much....

Depending on the prospect, it looks good on paper. Are we talking Triple-A or Double-A?

Agreed. Get it done. Besides Slowey is expendable with guys like Duensing, Manship and Gibson waiting in the wings to start next year. The last prospect would just be lower level B prospect, and wouldn't be much of a loss.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Wow the Twins fielding has pretty much disappeared. This is like watching a Saints game...

And will someone tell Gardy it is ok to let your pitcher pitch to more than 1 batter. My lord he is ALMOST as bad as Bobby Cox in his ability to just waste players and make sure everyone plays!

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010 Season Part III, {sigh}

Milwaukee: we don't really want this game, here, take it.
MN Twins: aw gee, thanks, but we'll double-clutch throws, barely miss fielding the ball, you know, make it look good, but still blow it.
Bad Luck: Hey, I have a say in this. And I say, eat it, Minnesota!
MN Twins: Awww, you take the fun out of everything!
Milwaukee: Go away, we've seen too much of you in the past couple of years.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee throws 28 more wild pitches, only to have Bad Luck and the Twins negate those benefits.

Can't you just enjoy the game? :D
