Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

If Gardy is going to rip his players for playing bad baseball, he should call out his 3B coach as well, because this isn't the first time lately that Ulger has sent a guy who had zero chance to score. I don't think even Casilla could have scored form second on that play.

Kubel wouldn't have scored if he had been in a 'vette.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I need to start keeping track of the FSN-North idioms:
- Pitchers are the best athletes
- That's an out in Oakland
- Span is a good leadoff hitter (HoF!) because he takes a lot of pitches
- It's hard to see flyballs at the Metrodump
- It's hard to see flyballs at Taget Field
- WE'RE OUTSIDE!!!111!!
- The Twins do the little things so well....

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

They play baseball the right way.
They emphasize the fundamentals.
They move runners over.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Young didn't get sent home, so who's coaching third tonight?

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

so....Matty G...when is he going to be demoted to dumpster cleaner?

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Great start for Liriano...and some nice clutch hitting by the rookie gives the Twins another win. :)

Anybody have any Target Field parking tips for tonight's impending sportsacalypse?

Besides getting there at about 3:00? :p

Obviously, try to get there as early as possible, it might really suck close to gametime. I'd just try to get into ramp C, or try to park on one of the surface lots further away from TF, in the direction away from the big inflatable, somewhere along Washington. Other than that, I don't know. Good luck. I imagine the light rail will be hell also, with people coming in for both games. Northstar rail might not be too bad, if this is one of the games they're running.

The night we went we came in on 394 and just hit one of the ramps by Target Center. Getting out was a lot harder than getting in.

Try to get there early. We were an hour ahead and that wasn't even enough time to soak things in.

If you come in on 394, ramps A and B are the easy ones to get into. It costs $2 more to park in B than A. If you come in on 94, heading east, it is really easy to slide into ramp C, which is the same price as A.

Maybe all of the football fans will leave by 9 pm since the 2nd half of that pre-season game is going to be a crap fest of 3rd stringers.

Macy's Ramp, parking north of Washington Ave., going up Washington around 5th by Cuzzy's and Darby O'Ragen's, or going to Mall of America Field and asking why they'd watch a crappy preseason game instead of a pennant race...
