Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Well, all my optimism for the season is gone. I don't mind watching them lose, but watching them play like this is really just too much.
I'm with you but hopeful this is just a bad night even though feelings of deja vu are present. :(

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

I'm surprised with how UMN has played so far, but still not confident with the 2 goal lead. UMN has too many offensive weapons...they could get back in this pretty quickly if they decide to start skating.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

I've always questioned people that have a problem with that. If the ref furthest away sees it first, what's the difference? It would be one thing if he got the call wrong, but it was pretty blatant interference there.

The problem is you have two refs and one obviously thought it wasn't and the other did. He called it but he didn't have the best view to see that the guy flopped to enhance it pretty badly. They guy closer had the side view and saw that part of it and chose to let it go only to have a guy with a worse view call it. To me thats a problem.

I know there's another period left but the one bright spot is I think Kangas looks pretty good tonight. I swear it should be 6-0 right now.

It may be a problem, but we weren't the ones that decided to have two refs, and since we have two refs this is what we have to live with. That looked like an ok call to me.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

I'd say I'm angry, but given the fact I expected the game to play out this way, I can't say that I am.

That woman they showed sleeping in the stands at intermission showed more energy than MN in the 2nd.

It's why I don't like the two ref system. I agree it was an okay call also.

I guess when the call is correct, I don't care who calls it. I really don't know how you can argue with that one. The Gopher player is standing out front and the Sioux player comes up an hits him from behind when the puck is no where near the vicinity. How do you know the closer ref didn't have his eyes on something else? After all, the right field umpire was 10 feet from Mauer's ball that hit a foot inside the line. Proximity obviously doesn't guarantee you'll get it right.

Its not really as bad as it seems. Look at the positives:

- The internet still has porn.
- The world has not run out of beer.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

UND owns the slot. Owns it.

Who own da Chiefs?

Woog just wondered if the team has the flu. I don't know if he was being serious or sarcastic, but other than "this team has no mental edge to them whatsoever", the flu would certainly lead to such a widespread lack of effort. :p

Hey, the Cleveland Cavs have the flu, so you never know...

I just assume when your looking towards the net you saw it just like I thought Phil Cuzzi should have seen that the ball was foul since he was looking right at it but then again obviously not
