Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Yeah, the beginning of the 1st period, UMN looked good. The first penalty that resulted in the UND goal really deflated them for some reason.
It deflated them because they're a bunch of emotional weaklings that give up the moment they face any adversity. They'll probably lose every game in which they fall behind by two goals this season.

When the going gets tough, the Gophers give up.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

That was not what the Sioux needed.

Fortunately, Barriball (I think it was him anyway) looks to be alright. Not a smart move at all...yikes.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Not very often a Sioux/Gopher game can lul you to sleep but this last 6-7 min could do that to you.

At the very least, this will make it more exciting to watch.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Hilarious. The Sioux have more chances on this powerplay than MN. If Blood hadn't broken his stick, UND probably would've scored too.

This team is a joke.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

I hope Kangas doesn't get penalized with a spot on the bench tomorrow night. He was the only one in maroon and gold who showed up tonight. What a pathetic load of s---

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

My question is, why didn't Lucia call timeout after they went down 2-0, or even at 3-0? Do something to change the momentum.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

That's the game.

4-0 North Dakota.

If it were not for Kangas, it could have been double that. Very very surprising start for the Gophers. As much as I would love for the Sioux to be THAT good, I really think tonight's outcome was purely based on Minnesota playing one of the worst games I've ever seen them play.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Wow! That was not what I expected to see. That was a complete domination. Will we see that again tomorrow?

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

G-- d--- it Lucia better figure out what the f--- is going on. I am so sick of this bull s---. His teams have played like they're wearing skirts for so long, I've forgotten what serious hockey looks like. Have to hand it to the Sue tonight. I really don't believe they have any more or less talent than the Gophers but they sure had no trouble beating the ever living s--- out of them. F---ing pathetic.

Re: Minnesota @ North Dakota 10/16/09

Congrats to the sue.

You guys outplayed us in every phase of the game with Kangas being the only bright spot for us.

A different Gopher team better show up tomorrow. :(

Would sitting him tomorrow be a penalty, or a reprieve?

Depends. If they put Patterson in there tomorrow Patterson will get killed. Destroying any confidence he may have coming into the year.

So, what do you do? No idea.
