Re: Minnesota hosts Wisconsin: 11/29 & 11/30
Too much turkey yesterday?
I'd talk about the games but really I don't have any idea as to the outcomes. Hate losing to the gofers, but I'll be satisfied if Bucky comes up with any points on the weekend.
Watched the Gophers play well on the road against what appeared to be a good Notre Dame team... Watched Bucky play well on the road against what appeared to a good Miami team. Notre Dame and Miami both get swept last weekend. Bucky gets shelled on the road in what seems to be an anomaly several weeks ago. Gophers get shelled in a special teams game at home last Sunday that may be an anomaly. On paper the Badgers have the experience over the Gophers but the Badgers have been playing a part time schedule, so it's hard to know where their at coming in... (Nice win over Miami on the road already seems a long time ago.) Sometimes freshman don't know enough to be worried or nervous, so hard to say what the Gopher new guys do in the conference opener. We'll have the Gophers at home for a late season show down if things pan out, and if they do, it will likely seem like a much bigger series than this one is for either team at the moment.
So... to me the only certainties in this Thanksgiving week series are: In Wisconsin there are a lot of dead deer, and in Minnesota a lot of nervous goats.
Having said all that, Death to Goldy.
yawn
Like seeing Gurt get worked up over the Bjug goal.![]()
