Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

The most wonderful time of they year has just begun. Awesome hockey that I am interested in no matter who is playing for roughly the next three months.

Umm, that was bad. Allen, you are NOT Stalock. Stay in your net.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

By the time I got to my truck to go grab lunch, Hermantown had scored 2 more, to make it 3-1. I'm back at my desk now, and it just went into second intermission, score 5-1.

Flood gates=open

Wow. A high school team is copying MSUM's jerseys. Never thought I would see that.
Lourdes usually has hideous jersies. I wouldn't doubt that they'd try to copy MSUM.

As everyone knows/assumes, Hermantown closed out Alexandria. I can't be sure, because I wasn't paying attention 100% to the radio, but I thought they said that Hermantown had 30 shots on goal in the second period.

No score in the Lourdes-Hibbing game.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Hibbing scores, 1-0. I actually think Lourdes has looked better, and is dominating physically. We'll see what happens here, Lourdes gets the PP.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Sounds about right, Hermantown skated circles around Alex the last half the game. Alex was overmatched.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Ya gotta love Joe...and Pat for that matter! (Don is like Paul Broten no one cares :p )

Actually it was 30 shots, not shots on goal. They had 60 shots after 2 periods...37 on goal.

I just lost the broadcast I was listening to, can't get it to work again. Oh, well.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Hibbing is on the PP...goal here would be killer.

The Gophs could use a couple of these Hibbing guys...not the most talented team but man they work and play with ice in their veins!

Hibbing has another PP. Lourdes attemting to establish a physical game isn't working out for them. Especially when they consider wrapping their arm around someone's knees and tackling them physical.

Re: Minnesota High School Hockey '10-'11

Just when Lourdes kills it, they take another penalty.

I really like this Hibbing team. They aren't flashy, but they are quick and smart.

Edit: 2-0 Hibbing after two.

Very Mankato-like, also those socks that Lourdes has are hideous.

Yeah, Mankato doesn't even have those. They remind me of Hunstville. Vertical stripes on the socks are just a bad idea.

Also, Lourdes uses "Trap the Blue Line" as their rouser. Strike 14.
