Once summer arrives (assuming it ever does), wander around until you find a hornets nest. Poke it with a stick a few times. When the swarm of hornets comes out, try dodging them while staying in close proximity to the nest. It will take some time before they sting you enough times such that you lose your will to live. That's what I envision playing the Gophers to being like. Whatever else they are, they are a bunch of pests. But they aren't like a bear, that if poked with a stick can destroy you with one blow of a paw and a quick coup de grâce. If hornets suddenly start trying to act like a bear, they may not be very good at it, so I'd rather they just keep swarming.
The mistakes are always there. As Joel Johnson says, "Hockey is an imperfect game played by imperfect people." Fans are just less concerned by them once we are up three goals.
