(Badger fan here, just back from the game to say mostly nice things
Great effort by the Badgers, better one by the Gophers. Gophers were really good at closing down 'time and space' in their D-zone, and it kept the Badger forwards from doing things they'd normally do.
My one complaint with the officiating - and is it not an insignificant one - is that the whole sequence that led to the Gophers' third goal was offside. Gopher number one held the puck just outside the blue line waiting for Gopher number two to touch up. But just when Gopher number two did touch up, Gopher number three stepped across, before Gopher number one advanced across the blue line. The lineswoman (not Fitz) was on the other side of the ice, with other traffic in front of her, so maybe that's why she missed it. But she missed it. And five seconds later, the Badgers were down 3-2.
Other than that, great game. Congrats to the Gophers for clinching WCHA regular season title.
