Was thinking of posting same thing last night. They commented Friday how biased Doug and Frank were yet last night in most cases pointed out what they perceived as missed calls on MN and weak calls on WI. For example, they were calling for a penalty on a slight hook by a Gopher on a D breaking out against the half-wall that slowed him but really didn't create a turn-over opportunity or anything, yet early in the game when McManus had the puck in the slot and was hooked in the hands affecting his shot, they mentioned he mishandled the puck. And they called an interference (or maybe hook) that took McLaughlin down behind the goal line weak, yet in the replay you could see the players stick bending from all the force he was putting on it as he was pulling the stick into McLaughlin's chest from behind, followed by a hit on him once he was down. And they kept talking about the missed trip the night before like it was a one-goal game and that was the only difference. (Never acknowledging that there were two week calls on Zuhlsdorf that followed.) It was strange the way they went into the rant against the refs, and then after a break, they came back commenting on how good of a job they were doing. I have a feeling a producer got in their ears and mentioned that it wasn't the best thing to do as an announcer, and reminded them also that it wasn't just Badger fans watching. And beyond all the penalty commenting, they were tough to even listen to their call of the game.
