It was a little different in that Blais did not leave UND and go directly to Omaha. He left UND ostensibly to take a shot at being an NHL coach, with Columbus, iirc.

Yep. He admitted later he wished he had never done it. NHL wasn’t for him

so charging isn't a rule in college hockey?
several very hard hits where OS players left the ice to drill Gopher players --
this is where I lament the lack of any physicality on the Gophers' part - do we have a single player that is capable of being an enforcer? Did that all just disappear when Lindgren left?

I really hope another team serves OS up with a strong dose of their own medicine.

No, but are you blind? You don't notice an improvement in their effort? In their defensive play? In their ability to break out of their zone?

Sad, but sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due. This is one of those times.

I must have missed all of the other wins in our last ten littered amongst those horrid losses against Michigan State and Penn State.

An improved team would be winning several in a row. It was a good series. Nothing more.
