That's the bottom line, a real shortage of high-end talent. It shouldn't surprise anyone that they're a .500 team.

I too am in that camp, but the nose-dive and frequency of what appears to be fairly complete apathy does surprise me.

Not sure I see the apathy (if you are talking about the fans), unless you are talking about the fans not showing up. Seems more like reluctant acceptance that it is unlikely that anything positive will be salvaged from this season and the recognition that we will likely have to wait for next season (or maybe longer) before we can hope for a better product.

The complete domination of the Penn State program over MN the last couple years has been demoralizing. At least they are starting to feel like an actual rival, but for all the wrong reasons. (I guess I would take some pleasure, as unlikely as it is, in MN actually knocking Pedo State out of an NCAA bid in the Big10 tourney. Gotta hold out hope for a miracle to get something positive.)

But maybe you referring to player apathy, which does seem to be problem with half the team on a given night (mainly non-freshman and, lately, non-GPS line players.)

I've accepted our fate, haven't thought twice about Motzko, but just wish we would have at least gone 500.

I don't care what you've supposedly read and every bunch has an idiot or two. My point stands - it's precious that even in a season when SCSU is fielding a dominant team your thoughts always revert to the Gophers.

And no reason to stop - you've earned that BS.

Yep. No different when Dean Blais went to Omaha. I was pulling for him to do well but it didn’t work out so good. Just human nature when a coach leaves the college you are a fan of goes elsewhere, one is curious to see how he does

This sounds very different because I doubt Jan wants him to do well at all lol.

I'm sure he doesn't but my point is fans will have interest in how they do with their new team. Had Blais went to Minny of course I would of hoped he failed :)
