I'm in SoCal so snow is something you see on the mountains in the distance.:)
Unless it's a full blown blizzard, can't imagine the schedule would change.

MSU came from behind last week against Wisconsin so they can obviously play well.

DU hasn't received much scoring production from the third & fourth lines so this weekend would be a good time to get everyone scoring.

As I recall, last year there was more interest in these games on the boards.
But I think DU fans had real concerns about playing in Mankato.

Hope the the team gives the attendees at Parents Weekend something to cheer about.

From the DU website

Due to the severe snowstorm and the closure of the University of Denver campus, student hockey single game tickets will be sold for $5 for this weekend's WCHA series against Minnesota State.

DU students can purchase single-game tickets for $5 for this weekend's series against Minnesota State beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Daniel L. Ritchie Center North Box Office. The $5 tickets for the series will be available all weekend. DU students must show a valid student ID to purchase the tickets.

Don't worry, you're not missing anything. I set the blog to private but am not posting on it. At this time it's just more work than I can dedicate time to.

No. We've had a couple of days of lower than usual temps for this time of year, say 65-67 for the highs. And it's amusing to watch the local TV weather twerps talking about "chilly," "colder" weather. Bosh.

With that cooler weather its easier for the fridge to make the ice cubes for your cocktails :eek: :p ;) :D :rolleyes:

According to the listings, Friday night's game will be televised on Fox College Sports Central. For Charter subscribers, that's channel 416. Other provider channel numbers are listed here.

Mankato is 0-9-1 in their last 10 games in Magness. Unbelievably DU only leads the alltime series 15-13-5 which shows how poor the record in Mankato has been.

TV this weekend Friday FSN Rocky Mountain and FCS Central at 7:30 MT. None on Saturday.

Good luck to Chevy and the Pies this weekend. Will be tuned in from my happy abode in the Upper Michigan North Woods tonight with a fire crackling to knock the chill off the cold rain. For a brief moment, I'm envious of you Pio posters in Phoenix, Houston, and CA. (Well, maybe not CA.) Nice to have a WCHA game on as an alternative to NHL Center Ice. (Or tonight, Game 1 of the night with an Avs'-Fishies game from the Outland.) DGG, have recently discovered your websites and am enjoying all the info (even as just a yesteryear DU season ticket holder and Denver resident, not connected otherwise with DU)!

Take heart Mavrick fans, Colorado College is 13-6-3 in their last 22 games in Magness. So have hope, you can turn this around starting tonight.:D

Going to the Wild game tonight to see the Wild v. Rangers (w/out Mary-ann Gaborik) and DVRing the MSU/DU game; I'll pick it up when we get home and maybe join the game thread if I catch up to live action.

If by turning things around, you mean that MSU joining Colorado College in a 52 year National Championship drought, I'm all for it.
