It's fun to play with rather pathetic attempts to insult.
And point out that their "hate" reminds me a lot of a 6th grade boy throwing insults to the little girl he has a crush on.
Honeslty- does anyone know their fight song? Or any history of their uniforms? Or even care?

Unfortunately, I do know their fight song, but that happens when you're in a Big Ten marching band, you get to learn and play the visiting team's song. I can honestly say, the Minnesota Rouser was the worst of the fight songs I played.
As for attempting communication with goofers, it's amusing. Anyone that takes this board too seriously needs to wake up.
Don't tell too many people, but I've actually met some of the gopher posters from this board and even consider some of them to be friends

You may know the tune, but what about the words? (besides, being a band member makes you a special case- one who is forced to know).
It amazes me sometimes that so many casual fans who "dispise" Michigan know so much about us. Why do people spend the time researching things they don't like? That whole idea confuses me- if I don't like something, I'd rather spend my time doing something else.
I certainly could not tell you the Spartan fight song, could identify the tune if I heard it- but could not come up with it on my own. I *think* I can come up with osu's- but partially growing up in Columbus and having a mom who is a buckey- kind of hard to avoid that.
Then again, I will sadly admit that I don't know the words to the fight song for the Univeristy of Idaho. Could play you the drum line in my sleep- since I've played it countless times- but not once in the 5 years I was there did I sing it.

I think the words are 'rah, rah, rah'. Then they do that whole spelling the state's name thing at the end. Which is impressive compared to Ohio fans, I mean, Minnesota has so many more letters.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Ohio fans get assigned 1/4 of the state's name- and all they have to do is put them together correctly. And use their body to spell. Sort of like using your fingers to count.

People recognize other fight songs because they watch their team play on the road and they don't have the memory of a goldfish. It doesn't require any research it only requires that you don't live in a safe little cocoon hidden from rest of the world. And trumpet thinks other fans are taking this seriously? Is it hard to speak with all those hooks in your mouth?

Does anyone know minny's fight song? Is it Purple Rain or When doves cry? I guess it could be Raspberry beret in your honor...

A tough couple of losses for the maize and blue this weekend. Luckily, we have aOSU coming up. I hope to see the offense bounce back. Especially if the ****eye defense allows a guy to stand on the doorstep waiting for passes and rebounds like they did our last series.
A few of the 'Children' are headed down to that festering hole that is Columbus on Friday. I'm still debating going. Sunday's game at Yost is at 5 pm.

Oh, well. For sure it was more fun to be in 70 deg weather with no access than home, freezing and seeing the team play bad.
Funny how gopher fans obsess so much to even come over here. When I said I was leaving, I actually meant it. No internet means no internet. I didn't see the results until this morning and have noted a few gophers are still posting in the game thread. Weekend is over folks.
Good for us that PSU got swept, too.
