Tech probably has as large as a crowd at GLI as State and Michigan if not larger, the GLI without State will be just fine and probably a heck of a lot more interesting.

The GLI being Tech's tournament wouldn't prevent Michigan and Michigan State from starting their own tournament if Tech started getting uppity and pushing the kinds of changes people have proposed. Once any existing contracts run out, do you think Olympia Entertainment would want a holiday tournament anchored by Michigan and Michigan State, or one anchored by Michigan Tech?

Oh so speaking of my name, bb_dl and I parked close to a truck that had "ST" on their license plate and I took a picture of the awesomeness. :D

Honestly folks, it's not worth discussing whether or not MSU should rotate with one of the other CCHA schools. If you saw the attendance this year compared to even three years ago, you would know Michigan State's status as a permanent invitee isn't going anywhere. Replace MSU with NMU or LSSU, and attendance for the championship game would've been 2/3 to 1/2 of what it was - I don't care how many NMU or LSSU alums supposedly live within a reasonable distance of the JLA, they simply don't have the draw that State does. Especially the "big school bandwagon fans" needed to keep attendance up, even during difficult economic times.

Keep UMi and MSU every year, its the only thing that makes sense. The more money we can make of the dumbass bandwagon fans, the better.

Sheesh, I took the "real" Calc I w/ Tech and still passed it on my first try. The funny part is I'm not even that good at math, I just had a good TA. :p

My freshman year at UND (my real one, 2005-2006) I had all the freshmen hockey players in all but one of my classes that whole year. It was quite amusing. lol

The gazette took care of it for me. Don't think people here didn't see it- they just chose to ignore it. Kind of another stinger for their man, especially after last week.

The humorous part to me is that if the coaching staff wasn't so arrogant as to snub him, they could likely be laying claim to a couple winning seasons instead of one.

It's kind of like how most of us choose to ignore every asinine thing you say. :)

Regardless of whether or not Russell is the right man for the job (admittedly a legit question after last week's MSU outing), you and your methods won't be scoring any points with this part of the fanbase. Especially after you recommended the fired Finlandia coach as the first guy Tech should call. :rolleyes:

I stopped going after the first half of the semester. Yeah, I know, stupid stupid stupid move. Hated my TA. I'm taking it this time with Ken Reidel (used to be in a bunch of jazz combos at Tech, awesome keyboardist and saxophonist IIRC)

Nicely done.
I later realized that I also have Witt, Dorito, Milos, Rohn, Reddick, 10+ people from Calumet High, and 4 of my sisters in my Geology class. :p

So how long doesTrent Daavettila sit with the Griffins before he plays his first NHL game? Wanna start an over/under?? I'd say...by the end of this season...

If he does play in the NHL by the end of this season:

1. Mad props to the kid making it from Portage Lake Pioneers to the Red Wings in under a full season
2. Kick Jamie Russell in the a*s for screwing that one up...

I know seeing him play in the NHL, especially on the Wings is a stretch...but hey it could happen

With the way their players keep going down I give them a week.

If Justin Abdelkeder is a mainstay on that team anybody can make it.
