No - you forgot about Dean Blais. You know the guy everyone said when I suggested it that he's happy where he's at and he won't be going back to the WCHA. A few greenbacks waived in front of his nose appears to had a way of changing his mind. And for those who say MTU can't afford a high paid coach, Nebraska used private donations to pay for a portion of his salary. With the millions raised in the enrichment campaign, it's a pretty fair question on whether the money would be better spent on a high profile, proven head coach for 3-5 years than some of the other things to improve the program.

And when Dean Blais leaves UNO for Minnesota after Lucia is Fired, are you still going to think it would have been a good idea to pay Blais alot of money for 1-2 years?

Absolutely; I'd take a proven winner in his prime for however long I could get him. But once you mentioned Lucia getting fired, I'm on the bandwagon to hire him; he'd be my second choice. But my guess is Blais doesn't even apply for Minnesota if it opens up.

My understanding is he has a "Lou Holtz Clause" to get out of UNO's contract if Minnesota comes knocking...
