I'd trade away SCSU and Mankato for the UP schools (there's some stability there). But we need to keep Bemidji. And they still need 6.

I really think that the WCHA and CCHA staying seperate leagues would be in the best long-term interest of college hockey by leaving openings for other schools to go D-I in the future, but if two more teams leave the CCHA, I think that league is pretty much finished because even adding UAH isn't going to save the league. Any remaining teams will either scramble to get into the WCHA if invited, or end up dropping their program within 5 years because I can't seen anyone lasting very long as an independant.

I just hope, with the additional exodus from the CCHA, that the teams that end up being left out are able to join up with some grouping of teams from AHA. I'm afraid we are close to seeing certain programs call it quits.

If it happens, they will only have switched once more than Tech.

oh sweet irony! this from a ******* Duluth fan! Next, say the Butthurt 6 Disaster is the fault of MTU for voting to accept an application from WMU if they leave the CCHA.

Who would have ever guessed that we could get to the point that the NMU and SCSU fans are the bearable ones around here?

we've got a nice little league going here! natural rivals and all. I'm really hoping the both Alaska schools are onboard.
the WCHA survives. and we have a chance to get to the NCAAs again.

Well not so fast just quite yet. the BHHC is certain that notre dame and WMU are coming to them.
Maybe or maybe not but IMHO it behooves college hockey to give these two options that make sense. If the WCHA picks up alaska now, ND might have no choice in where they go.
I think the league should wait a bit and get the lay of the land first.
