Re: Michigan Tech needs a new coach, what do you say Cary Eades?
I think in the case of Blais, the offer (if it was actually made) was enough to get him to listen, but the total package, whether it be assistant salaries, recruiting, travel or equipment budget, wasnt enough. With Mel, if the figures for his salary that have been thrown around here are even remotely close, they sound competitive, but again, it could have been other parts of the package, AND if those figures are accurate, not high enough to keep Red and Dave Brandon from upping the ante just enough. I never believed that resources wouldn't be an issue. The fact that there is so much more to it than just the salary for the head coach is a big thing. Hopefully they still can get someone solid to elevate the program. I posted earlier that I think the best, and most likely to accept, and fit within the financial parameters, candidates are Rud, Patrick and Markell. With Rud and Markell being the most likely.
