Michigan Tech needs a new coach, what do you say Cary Eades?

Re: Michigan Tech needs a new coach, what do you say Cary Eades?

Even then, they were only in the top 25 for 2 years, and only in one out of many different rankings (at least US News and Business Week also do their own rankings).

I don't know exactly what you are trying to get at. I was merely trying to say that North Dakota had a top flight Entrepreneurship program in response to somebody joking about it as a major. I wasn't at UND in 2008 or 2009, so the #9 ranking was from several years ago, so at that point they were top-25 as well. It really doesn't matter, but I'm going to assume that you are somebody who is going to or went to a top flight school, so you get up in arms about a smaller school like UND doing well in one particular ranking. ;)

Well to respond, there is no degree at UM that is a cake walk. Despite the jokes to the contrary. I think though that a lot of the football players major in kenestheology. which I cannot spell. What they do have which helps is 24/7 tutoring.
Good luck getting a job doing that after you are done.
I remember at Tech I took theory and organization of hockey at least twice. MacInnes taught it at the Dee.

Don't. Knock. Kinesiology. (And, if you are, at least have the courtesy to use Google to check the spelling and get it right.) Done right, that shiz is hard. I watched my 4.0 student little sister study that in school, and it was hard work.
Now, would a student-athlete have that same program? Doubtful. But are 99% of them actually going to use it after school. Not likely. Those who do go through a legit program and use it have a tough row to hoe in school, and go on to PT school or become certified trainers.

/realizes this is all falling on deaf ears anyway

Or go through it and figure out later on in life what they want to be when they grow up.
I'd probably do a couple of things differently, given the chance, but it was really interesting.

Oh I'm not dissing it at all. quite the contrary. But it is a fact that a lot of football players do major in it.

That was Eli.
John Scott got his Mechanical Engineering degree, right?

Nice mention of Scott's engineering degree from MTU on the 'Hawks broadcast tonight as he sat in the box for about 10 seconds before Vancouver scored. Bummer.

They failed to mention, apparently, that he actually graduated with the engineering degree. A certain alum in my house was displeased.

Imagine my surprise when i saw him when we were getting lined up to walk, it definitely was a "WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot is he doing here moment"

Re: Michigan Tech needs a new coach, what do you say Cary Eades?

They implied it by saying he spent 4 years at Tech and was going to be an engineer...

Well, how many years does it take to get an engineering degree? Doesn't everyone do it in four? Er, wait, not that's not right. I "Tommy Boy'd" my ME degree. Dang IM Hockey, Pep Band, Film Board, SAE, Broomball, etc... Who am I kidding? I wouldn't have traded those years for anything.

While I see what you're saying...the average person thinks "exhausted eligibility=graduation"

What I'm getting at is that your assessment of North Dakota as having a "top flight" entrepreneurship program is questionable.

Too soon to bring this question back?
"Michigan Tech still needs a new coach, what do you say Cary Eades?"
:(
